HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia State Police say a three-vehicle crashed caused a four-vehicle crash in the same location on Interstate 295 north in Hanover County.
Deputies were called to the first crash just after 8 a.m. on I-295 north at mile marker 39, which involved three vehicles. State police said two people involved in the crash were transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
According to state police, that three-vehicle crash caused a separate four-vehicle crash. Two of the vehicles involved veered off into the southbound lanes, state police added. One person was transported to the hospital for minor injuries as a result of this crash.
Just after 9 a.m., all cars had been moved to the shoulders and traffic was moving smoothly.
