CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police are looking for a bank robbery suspect who, according to a release, entered a Chesterfield bank on Jan. 5 and handed a note to a clerk demanding money.
A female suspect reportedly walked into a Wells Fargo bank, located in the 5000 block of Hopkins Road, just before 9:45 a.m., a Chesterfield Police release said. The suspect then gave a note to a bank teller demanding money.
After receiving cash from the teller, the suspect left the bank on foot. The suspect did not display any weapon during the robbery.
Police obtained warrants for the suspect, identified as Elizabeth A. Shelton, in connection to the robbery.
Shelton, a 29-year-old Henrico resident, is described as a white female, weighing roughly 200 pounds and 5 feet 1 inch tall.
According to Chesterfield Police, Shelton has green eyes and brown hair and could be in the Northern Neck area.
