Police: Chesterfield gas station robbed by man with knife

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Authorities are investigating a robbery after a man entered a Chesterfield gas station with a knife and demanded money on Monday night. 

According to a release from Chesterfield Police, a man armed with a knife entered the BP gas station in the 13000 block of Genito Road on Jan. 7, at around 9:15 p.m. The suspect demanded money from the clerk, who then fled the store.

A robbery at a Chesterfield convenience store on Tuesday was also linked to a suspect wielding a knife. There is no word yet on if these robberies are connected.

The suspect took cash from the store’s register and then left the area, possibly in a vehicle, police said. 

The suspect is described by police as a white male who was wearing a black hooded jacket with a white interior, blue jeans and running shoes. The man also had a mask over his face.
