Police investigating 2 armed robberies of local Walgreens

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Crime Stoppers wants the public’s help in solving a series of armed robberies that occurred in Richmond and Henrico County.

On Jan. 14, just after 8 p.m., Richmond Police responded to the Walgreens Pharmacy located in the 1150 block Azalea Ave for a robbery. The suspect entered the store and showed the clerk a snub-nosed revolver and demanded money.

The suspect then fled the store but not before getting the cash from the registers.

And then just after midnight on Jan. 15 the suspect entered the Walgreens at 3715 Mechanicsville Turnpike and robbed them as well.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 40 to 50 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall and approximately 230lbs and walks with a limp. He was last seen driving away in a white minivan in both incidents.
