Police investigating shooting in North Richmond, searching for suspect

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Police are searching for the shooter who opened fire in North Richmond, striking a man at least one time.

Officers were called to the 3600 block of Chamberlayne Avenue for random gunfire around 11:45 Tuesday night. That’s where they found a man who’d been shot at least one time. The victim was rushed to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Authorities are currently looking for the shooter. There is no suspect description available at this time.
